At Iroquois Middle School, we feel it is very important for students to continue to read over the summer.
This year, students at each of the grade levels will have a choice in their reading selections. Students may purchase their own copy from a bookstores, or they may borrow a copy from the town library.
Please choose from the following choices for your entering grade level. You will need to select at least one title from both the general reading list and the themed reading list. While not required, we also encourage you to read more than just a single title from each list.
Following are both the general reading information and the theme reading list, broken down by grade level. Related assignment material will also be posted in PDF form for students or parents to download and print out.
Where to Find These Books:
We have notified The Open Door on Jay Street in Schenectady, Barnes & Noble in the Mohawk Commons shopping center in Schenectady and local town libraries to make sure these titles are stocked. In addition, many larger book stores and online book sellers will have these titles. What to Do With These Books:
Once you get your book, make sure you have a copy of grade specific handout(s) for your grade's theme reading listed below. Read your book and complete the assignments in the associated handout.
