Gregor the Overlander

by Suzanne Collins

Christine H.
(Team 82, 10/2/2007)

"Gregor the Overlander falls through a ventilation grate following his little sister, Boots. There he is considered “the Overlander” of the prophecy by the Underlanders, the humans who live under the ground. The Underlanders don’t live alone in the fertile land; there also are bats, mice, rats, snakes, lizards and a wide assortment of bugs that share the land. One thing alone shows if it’s an Underland or Overland animal…its size. All except humans are completely overgrown including the riverway and surrounding jungles. Gregor goes on an adventure to save the Underland and fight King Gorger.

I liked this book a lot because it had a ton of action. I liked the plot twist and the ending. I would recommend it to fantasy lovers."
