How to Cite a Book With One Author:

Last Name, First Name.  Title of the Novel.  Publishing City:
        Publishing Company, Publishing Year.  Type of Publication.

    Publishing, 1976.  Print.

Steinbeck, John.  The Pearl.  New York: Penguin Books, 1954.  Print.

How to Cite a Book With Multiple Authors:

Last Name, First name and First Name Last Name. Title of Novel.  Publishing City:

How to Cite a Poem:

Cite a poem in a book the same way you would cite a magazine article.

Author of Poem (Last, First).  “Title of Poem.” Title of Book.  Editor*.
     Publishing City: Publishing Company, Publishing year.  Page range of entry. Type of Publication.  

EXAMPLE:

Kulling, Monica.  “Amelia Cramped.”  A Kick in the Head: An Everyday Guide to
    Poetic Forms.  Paul Janeczko.  Cambridge: Candlewick Press, 2000. 12-13. Print.

*Often times the editor is the person who chose or selected the poems.  
- If a book of poems is written by one person, it might not have an editor.
