Welcome to Home and Careers
 Home and Careers is designed to help students prepare for a rapidly changing future through the use of hands-on relevant activities. The focus of the curriculum is to develop the critical thinking skills of decision making, problem solving, management and goal setting while utilizing a variety of resources. The students use individual as well as team based/cooperative learning experiences.
Home and Careers is offered for ten weeks in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. As a student progresses through middle school home and careers courses, each new course builds on the experiences of the previous year.

How do we do this?
We have fun with demonstrations, discussions, team work, games, videos, projects, oral reports, reading, worksheets, checkbook reconciliations, paired partnering, research and word processing, speakers, interviewing, online activities, questionnaires and above all interacting with each other.
